Westminster Select Board Approves Transfers, Appointments, and Surplus in Single Session
WINCHENDON — June 15, 2026 — Westminster Select Board approves $772,000 in warrants, new town clerk, and dozens of appointments at June 15 meeting. The board unanimously approved two town warrants totaling $772,863.10 and three inter-fund transfers — including $70,000 shifted from group health insurance into the legal services line to cover fiscal year overruns, and $10,000 from the water reserve fund to cover an emergency winter water repair. Jane DiVoglio was authorized as the new town clerk, succeeding retiring Ellen Shan, with a board member citing her prior experience as town clerk in Millbury. Fire Chief Kyle Butterfield reported the Public Safety Building Committee's owner's project manager search has been delayed roughly six weeks due to a legal department holdup, with a selection now expected within two months. The board also referred six zoning amendments — including a proposed data center ban — to the Planning Board for public hearings, and declared a 2016 ambulance surplus for disposal.
