Ashburnham-Westminster School Committee Reorganizes, Sets Summer Retreat for July 23

ASHBURNHAM — June 4, 2026 — Ashburnham-Westminster School Committee reorganizes, names new pupil services director for July 1. The committee seated Kyle Johnson as chair, Jennifer Storm as vice chair, and Kimberly Russo as secretary at its annual reorganization meeting June 4 at Oakmont Regional High School, swearing in four re-elected members — Laura Saint-Seer, Kim Russo, Nadine Ledger, and Jeremy Smeltikoff — before taking up school business. Superintendent Dr. Stewart announced that Virginia Tedesco, currently the district's assistant director of special education, will succeed departing director Jen Ramsdell effective July 1; Tedesco told the committee she has already restructured the department's coordinator positions and aims to have all open special education posts filled "before the end of the school year." The committee set its summer retreat for July 23 at 6 p.m. in the high school library and voted to enter executive session on an unspecified negotiating matter; a special budget-and-finance subcommittee session was scheduled for the following Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. after warrant hyperlinks failed, blocking member review of the documents.
