Athol Public Library Kicks Off Week of Summer Youth Programs
The Athol Public Library is the center of action this week, with a run of summer programs kicking off Wednesday and carrying through early July.
COMMUNITY & ARTS
The library at 568 Main Street has several upcoming events worth circling on the calendar. Tomorrow, Thursday, June 25, teens and tweens can drop in for Potted Pixel Art Plants from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m. — a hands-on creative session that carries no registration note in the listing, so walk-ins appear welcome.
Next Tuesday, June 30, the library hosts two back-to-back programs: Stickerpalooza runs from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m., and a Teen Book Swap is scheduled for the same 3:30–4:30 p.m. slot — likely two separate offerings sharing the afternoon. The following day, Thursday, July 2, Retro Board Games fills the 3:30–5:00 p.m. window, a good option ahead of the Independence Day holiday.
Looking a bit further out, America is Wild! is set for Tuesday, July 8 at 5:30 p.m., and an Anime 5E Teen RPG series launches on select dates beginning July 9 — registration is required for that one. The library is open Monday through Friday, with Tuesday hours extending to 8:00 p.m. and Friday closing at 5:00 p.m.; it is closed weekends and legal holidays. Residents can call (978) 249-9515 or visit athollibrary.org for details.
