Fitchburg Closes Two Roads Through September for Water Main Work
Two city streets shut down to through traffic this morning as crews begin water main utility work that will stretch into the first days of September.

Lyman Lane and Barbara Drive both closed to through traffic on Thursday, June 25, for water main utility work. The city says both closures are expected to remain in place through Wednesday, September 2. Drivers should plan alternate routes for the duration of the project.
Also from city hall: yearly landfill stickers have been extended through September 30, giving residents additional time to use the transfer station without needing to renew.
