Leominster Conservation Commission continues all four active hearings to June 9

LEOMINSTER — May 26, 2026 — Leominster Conservation Commission continues four wetland project hearings, approves minor parking lot change. The five-member commission, chaired by Stephanie Quinlan, continued all active notices of intent to its June 9 meeting after none of the applicants had received DEP file numbers — including a city-sponsored North Nashua River Bank Stabilization Project at 135 and 230 Commercial Road designed to protect a sewer interceptor carrying roughly a quarter of Leominster's sewage. GZA GeoEnvironmental engineers Susana Souza and Rosalie Starvish presented the riverbank project on behalf of the city, with commissioner Rich Gullick calling it "quite required" given the infrastructure risk. Separately, commissioner Gullick said he was leaning against approving a single-family home proposed within a jurisdictional wetland at 43 Stagecoach Road, saying he was "uncomfortable with the area that was going to be replicated" after a commission site walk. The board also unanimously accepted an 866-square-foot net reduction in impervious surface at Whitney Carriage Apartments as a minor change to DEP file 199-1131, and approved meeting minutes from April 28 and May 12.
