Leominster Library Launches Summer Reading Kick-Off With Yo-Yo Show Sunday
The city's calendars are quiet heading into Wednesday, but residents have a busy stretch ahead with the Leominster French Canadian Festival arriving Saturday and a wave of library summer programming launching this week.
COMMUNITY & ARTS
The Leominster Public Library's summer schedule picks up speed over the next several days. On Wednesday, June 25, adults can catch Film Night at the library from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Also Wednesday morning, kids have the chance to join a guided trip to the New England Botanic Garden at Tower Hill, running 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The big kickoff comes Sunday, June 29, when the library hosts The Yo-Yo Show! Summer Reading Kick-Off at 3 p.m. — open to both kids and teens. Earlier that morning, a Whooo's Ready to Paint? art session runs 10 to 11 a.m. for kids and teens. That same evening, the Chess Club meets from 7 to 8:45 p.m. for adult patrons.
The following Monday, June 30, brings two back-to-back children's events: Fairy Houses at 10 a.m. and a Save the Bay Touch Tank Experience from 2 to 4 p.m. The library is located at 30 West Street and is open Monday through Thursday 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday–Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The city's community calendar lists the Leominster French Canadian Festival for Saturday, June 27.
