Spencer Settles Lawsuit With Massachusetts Broken Stone

The town of Spencer has reached a settlement with Massachusetts Broken Stone and will close its Transfer Station on July 4th — the two most notable items surfacing on the town's official homepage as of Thursday, June 25.

The town has resolved its lawsuit with Massachusetts Broken Stone, according to a notice posted on the Spencer town website. No additional details about the settlement terms were available from the town's public posting at press time.

Separately, the town is reminding residents to plan ahead for the Independence Day holiday: the Transfer Station will be closed on Friday, July 4th. Residents are encouraged to adjust their disposal and recycling schedules accordingly.

The Board of Selectmen is scheduled to meet on Monday, June 30 — the next opportunity for elected officials to address town business publicly.
