Westminster Select Board approves Lexipol contracts, pickleball lines at town court

WINCHENDON — May 11, 2026 — Westminster Select Board reorganizes, approves Lexipol policy contracts and pickleball court painting. The board, meeting Monday, elected Mike Cooley as chair, Missy Banks as vice chair, and Sam Albert as clerk before clearing a $140,837.05 town warrant. Members unanimously authorized two Lexipol LLC agreements — one for municipal administration covering July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027, and one for the Westminster Police Department covering May 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027 — bringing both under the same policy management platform already used by the town's fire department. Community Services Director Audrey Kirkland briefed the board on a pending final price quote from Davenport Paving to add two pickleball courts to the existing town basketball court surface, which the board supported in a unanimous vote. The board also approved a Jaws movie night at Crocker Pond Recreation Area for June 6 with a June 13 rain date, and signed off on a support letter for a Montachusett Regional Planning Commission road safety audit grant covering South Main Street.
