Southborough Conservation Commission Opens Recruitment for New Volunteer Members
The town's Conservation Commission is looking for volunteers, and a slate of board and committee meetings opens Tuesday evening — the main business visible on an otherwise quiet Monday in Southborough.
TOWN HALL
The town's Conservation Commission posted a call for new members on the municipal website, inviting residents interested in land stewardship and environmental review to apply. The Conservation Commission oversees wetlands protection, open-space management, and reviews permits under state environmental law; vacancies on volunteer boards are filled by Select Board appointment.
The town also released the latest edition of its periodic community newsletter, Word on Common Street — Volume 42 — available on the town website at southboroughma.gov.
COMING UP
Three boards convene Tuesday, June 16: the Library Board of Trustees, the Stewardship Committee, and the Select Board all hold public meetings. On Wednesday, June 17, both the Northborough-Southborough Regional School Committee and the Elementary School Building Committee are scheduled to meet. Agendas and virtual meeting links are posted at southboroughma.gov/Calendar.aspx.
